Femcare is used to treat vaginal infections caused by yeast. It is an antifungal agent that prevents fungus from growing. It is commonly prescribed for the treatment of vaginal candida. However, your doctor may also prescribe Femcare for other conditions if found appropriate.

How to use Femcare

The ideal way to use Femcare is to follow the instructions of your doctor. An alternative way is to check the medicine label for dosage instructions.

Wash your hands and insert the tablet, cream or suppository into the vagina. Please use the applicator as directed.

Preferably, Femcare should be taken at the same time each day to help maintain a regular routine for taking it. You must not stop taking Femcare (even during the menstrual periods) without consulting your doctor even if you attain relief after a short while post starting treatment.

Use of a sanitary napkin to prevent your clothes from being stained is permitted. Do not use a tampon.

Wash your hands after use and avoid getting it in the eyes, ears, mouth.

It is commonly prescribed for the treatment of vaginal candida. However, your doctor may also prescribe Femcare for other conditions if found appropriate.

Missed Dose

It is important that you maintain a strict schedule for taking Femcare to ensure that you do not miss any doses. But if you do, then you may apply it as soon as you remember provided that you space out the next dosage accordingly.

On the other hand, if it is almost time for the next dose, then omit this dose and continue with your normal dosage schedule.

Never apply two doses to compensate for a missed dosage.

Storage

Store Femcare at 77 degrees F (25 Degrees), at room temperature. Ensure that you protect it from direct exposure to heat/moisture/light and from the reach of children and pets.

Avoid storing Femcare in the bathroom.

Consult your doctor before using Femcare if you have any kind of allergies to food items, medicines or other substances, if you are using some kind of herbal preparation, dietary supplement, prescription or non prescription drug.

Do not use Femcare if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in it (read medicine label if unsure), if you have a fever, abdominal pain, foul-smelling discharge, diabetes, HIV, or AIDS.
If you are pregnant or have plans for a pregnancy, then consult your doctor before using Femcare as Femcare may harm your fetus.

If you are breast feeding then please maintain caution as it is unknown whether Femcare is passed into the breast milk. So please consult your doctor prior to using it.

Do not use Femcare in children below 12 years of age as the safety as well as effectiveness of Femcare in these patients are yet to be ascertained.

Use clothing that allows air circulation. Avoid wearing tight fitting synthetic clothes like pantyhose until the infection is cured.

Use a condom while having sexual intercourse or avoid sexual intercourse until the infection is healed to prevent spreading the infection to your partner.
